Bouwcenter is a decentralised organisation in which a federation of shareholders and independent branches together form an umbrella organisation. Each of the shareholders has one or more construction shops and showrooms, which supply construction products to professional contractors. They join forces in the field of online and offline marketing & communication.

Phase 1 of the assignment was to convert their variety of individual websites into a joint website with a general webshop, with respect for the diversity of underlying systems. In phase 2 (ongoing) we will add the option to give registered users access to the location-specific collection and show them their personal price agreements.

Challenge:

The challenge of this project was to define a concrete, common goal that all branches could agree on. Because online sales were only a small part of the turnover, we decided to focus on ROPO (research online, purchase offline). In addition to ordering directly, registered customers can also prepare quote requests, and there is an extensive inspiration section, where contractors and freelancers can see together with their customers which style suits them. In addition, I laid a foundation for CRO together with a digital marketer, where we regularly discuss the goals, analyse user statistics and discuss and validate optimisations.
