Based on the corporate identity as created by Denstsu Creative Amsterdam I have created a design system for Frits, in order to ensure the uniformity of design across all channels.
I have created the design system according to the atomic principle:
- Atoms are the basic elements, such as fonts, colour, typography.
- Molecules are are relatively simple groups of UI elements functioning together as a unit, such as form fields, buttons, progress bars, etc.
- Organisms are more complicated combinations of molecules, such as menu’s, modules, forms, footers, etc.
- Templates are page-level objects that place components into a layout and articulate the design’s underlying content structure.
In addition to the UI library, I have also discussed & created guidelines in cooperation with Marketing & Content and the Frits Design Team. These include for example:
- Content style guide / tone of voice
- Guide for use of padding & margins
- Guide for use of shapes & colours
- etc.
The UI Library has been set up in Figma, to be used across multiple teams.
